The Kraken is was inspired by my love of the ocean and sea faring books and movies like The Pirates of the Caribbean

I spent a lot of time reflecting on what it means to be a good mother while painting this piece

but at the same time I felt myself already missing the canyon

These red and orange walls tower out of the middle of the dessert and create essential ecosystems for a multitude of species like the Golden Eagle
