1872 HAWAII. Rare Honolulu Edition of Jarves' History of the Hawaiian Islands. Congregational Published 1828A rather nicely preserved textual edition of the important second Hawaiian edition of Jarves' classic on the Sandwich Islands. It includes wood engraved illustrations in the text. and is the only edition with Whitney's appendix with agricultural and commercial statistics as well as a "Historical Sketch of Hawaiian Volcanoes" not in earlier editions.
